Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the P100i USB cable, run the Zebra installer as administrator, and allow any Windows security prompt. If setup still fails, uninstall older Zebra Card Printer drivers and restart before reinstalling.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port rather than a hub, try another cable/port, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device. Power-cycle the P100i, then restart the Print Spooler service.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove conflicting P100i or other Zebra card-printer drivers in Print Management, install the package matching your Windows version, and avoid forcing a P120i/P100i duplicate. After installation, set the P100i as default and print a test card.
