Name: wudfusbcciddriver.inf Driver
Author: 3Com

Question 1

Install fails or INF is rejected?

Accepted Answer

Use Device Manager → Update driver → Browse my computer → select the folder containing `wudfusbcciddriver.inf`. Run Device Manager elevated, and match the INF architecture (x86/x64). If Windows blocks an older unsigned package, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement or use the inbox USB CCID driver.

Question 2

USB CCID reader not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager under “Smart card readers” or “Other devices.” Try a rear USB 2.0 port directly, replace the cable, and avoid unpowered hubs. Remove any stale hidden device entries, then rescan for hardware.

Question 3

Version conflicts with an existing CCID driver?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the current reader and delete its driver package, restart, then install the 3Com INF. Do not force an older `wudfusbcciddriver.inf` over the Microsoft inbox driver unless required for the 3Com reader.
