Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The EX 2050DX uses a legacy printer driver. Run the WeP installer as administrator, or install manually via Device Manager > Add a printer > Have Disk and point to the extracted `.inf` file. Disable driver signature enforcement only if the package is unsigned and trusted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the dot-matrix printer is powered on and connected to the correct port (USB or parallel). Try another USB port/cable, avoid hubs, and create the printer manually on USB001/LPT1 if Plug and Play does not appear.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Wipro/WeP printer drivers first. Use Print Management or `printui /s /t2` to delete the old driver package, restart Windows, then install the latest EX 2050DX driver.
