Question 1

Driver install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the WeP/Wipro LQ540DX setup as Administrator and in Windows compatibility mode for the OS version listed by the vendor. If it still fails, remove old printer entries via Print Management, restart the Print Spooler, then reinstall.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the LQ540DX is connected to the correct USB or parallel port and powered on. In Device Manager/Printers, check for an unknown device or wrong port; set the port to the actual USB00x or LPT1 and restart the spooler.

Question 3

Version conflicts with generic LQ drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any generic Epson LQ/Wipro driver already assigned to the queue, delete leftover driver packages in Print Management, and install only the WeP LQ540DX package before reconnecting the printer.
