Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Wacom/Tablet PC drivers, reboot, then run the legacy Intuos2 driver installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Use a signed driver matching your Windows version.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Intuos2 12x12 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Try another USB cable/port, check Device Manager for unknown devices, and install the driver before reconnecting the tablet.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Do not mix modern Wacom Center drivers with legacy Intuos2 drivers. Remove newer Wacom software and duplicate tablet services, reboot, then install only the legacy package. Recheck after Windows updates.
