Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Intuos 6x8, close Wacom Desktop Center, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Reboot before reconnecting the tablet.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good USB port/cable, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown Wacom devices. Reinstall the Wacom driver, then restart with the tablet connected.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Wacom drivers and Desktop Center, remove leftover Wacom entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the latest driver compatible with the Intuos 6x8. Don’t let Windows Update replace the Wacom driver.
