Name: Wacom HID Pen Driver
Author: Wacom

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Wacom pen/tablet, uninstall any previous Wacom driver from Apps & Features, reboot, then run the latest driver installer as administrator. Avoid manually updating the “HID-compliant pen” entry in Device Manager.

Question 2

Device not detected / pen cursor missing?

Accepted Answer

Re-pair Bluetooth pens, reseat the USB cable or try another port, and use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. Confirm the Wacom HID device is not disabled and replace the pen battery if applicable.

Question 3

Version conflicts / no pressure sensitivity?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Wacom drivers and conflicting tablet software, reboot, and install the driver matching your exact model and Windows version. In supported apps, enable Windows Ink or select the Wacom pen input explicitly.
