Name: Wacom GD 1212 R Driver
Author: Wacom

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the GD 1212 R until the installer prompts, run the Wacom setup as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. For legacy drivers, try Windows XP/7 compatibility mode.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port and avoid hubs; check the serial/adapter cable if used. Restart Windows, then inspect Device Manager for unknown or HID devices and rescan.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall all existing Wacom drivers and utilities, reboot, and install only the version matching the GD 1212 R. Remove duplicate Wacom entries in Device Manager and prevent Windows from replacing the Wacom driver with a generic HID driver.
