Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Vs Pvrtv 305U setup as administrator, match the package to your Windows version and 32/64-bit OS, and reboot before retrying. If the driver is unsigned, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the tuner directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown/USB device, try another cable/port, and reinstall USB/chipset drivers if enumeration fails.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TV/PVR software and previous tuner drivers in Device Manager, including hidden devices. Reboot, then install only the Vs Pvrtv 305U driver package; avoid mixing legacy BDA/Media Center drivers with the current driver.
