Name: Vodafone Mobile Broadband (Huawei) Driver
Author: Huawei

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Huawei modem, uninstall older Vodafone Mobile Broadband/Huawei software, reboot, then run the driver installer as administrator. Reconnect only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable, preferably a rear port. In Device Manager, remove any unknown or modem entries, rescan, and check whether the device is stuck in CD-ROM/storage mode until the Huawei driver switches it.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove leftover Vodafone/Huawei drivers and duplicated modem entries, then install the driver matching your exact Huawei model. Avoid mixing older Vodafone software with a newer Windows driver.
