Name: Visioneer Strobe XP 450 Driver
Author: Visioneer

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm you downloaded the correct 32-bit/64-bit package for your Windows version. Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. For older Visioneer drivers blocked by Windows signature checks, use the signed package or Visioneer’s recommended compatibility steps rather than forcing an incompatible installer.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Strobe XP 450 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub, and use its power adapter if required. Check Device Manager for unknown/USB errors, uninstall the affected entry, reconnect the scanner, then reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts or TWAIN errors?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Visioneer, OneTouch, and scanner/TWAIN entries via Programs and Features and Device Manager, restart, then install one matching driver set. In your scanning app, explicitly select the Visioneer TWAIN/WIA source.
