Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Visioneer OneTouch scanner, uninstall any existing Visioneer/OneTouch driver in Device Manager, reboot, then run the installer as administrator before reconnecting USB.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port instead of a hub, try a known-good cable, and check Device Manager for unknown/imaging devices. Reinstall the OneTouch driver and confirm the scanner is powered on and selected in Visioneer software.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Visioneer OneTouch driver entries and packages, restart Windows, then install only the driver version matching your Windows build and scanner model. Disable third-party scanner utilities if conflicts continue.
