Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the VC0323 installer as administrator, uninstall any existing Vimicro/PC Camera driver in Device Manager (check “Delete driver software”), reboot, then reinstall. If Windows blocks it, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement only for unsigned packages.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct rear USB 2.0 port and a known-good cable; avoid hubs. Check Device Manager for “Unknown Device” or “Video Controller.” If listed, update manually via “Have Disk” and point to the VC0323 `.inf` file.

Question 3

Version conflicts/Code 10 or 43?

Accepted Answer

Remove other webcam/Vimicro drivers, install the matching VC0323 package, and reboot. If it still fails, roll back to an older signed driver or reinstall after clearing the device from Device Manager.
