Name: Vimicro USB 2.0 PC Camera (Jupiter) Driver
Author: Vimicro

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The Jupiter camera uses an older Vimicro USB video driver; run the installer as administrator and match x86/x64 to Windows. If Windows blocks the INF, use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse and select the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub or USB 3.0-only port. In Device Manager, check for an unknown USB device or Vimicro camera entry; reinstall/repair USB host controller drivers and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Vimicro PC Camera, USB Video Device, or generic webcam driver first. Uninstall via Device Manager (including hidden devices), reboot, then install the Jupiter driver package before reconnecting the camera.
