Name: Viewsonic VX2739WM Driver
Author: ViewSonic

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the ViewSonic VX2739WM setup as administrator, or manually install the monitor INF via Device Manager > Monitors > Update driver > Browse. Confirm the package matches your Windows version and architecture; don’t install a GPU driver for this monitor.

Question 2

Monitor not detected or shows as Generic PnP Monitor?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the HDMI/DVI/VGA cable, try another port/cable, power-cycle the monitor, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. The ViewSonic driver adds color/profile support—it does not enable resolutions; set those in GPU control panel.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Windows Update overwrites?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, uninstall the old ViewSonic monitor driver and delete driver software, reboot, then reinstall the correct INF. If a Windows Update driver breaks settings, use Driver > Roll Back or reinstall the ViewSonic package.
