Author: ViewSonic

Question 1

Install fails or “driver not found”?

Accepted Answer

Don’t run the monitor’s .inf directly. Open Device Manager > Monitors > ViewSonic VX2703 Series > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Have Disk, then select the extracted INF. Run setup as administrator and reboot.

Question 2

Monitor not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the VX2703 is powered on, set to the correct input (VGA/DVI/HDMI as applicable), and connected with a known-good cable. Try another video port, then use Display settings > Detect. Update the graphics driver if no external display appears.

Question 3

Version conflict/Windows replaces driver?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the existing ViewSonic or Generic PnP Monitor entry in Device Manager (check Delete driver software), reboot, and reinstall the ViewSonic INF. If Windows Update keeps overwriting it, roll back in Device Manager or temporarily pause driver updates.
