Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the TD2230’s USB touch cable, run the installer as administrator, and reconnect USB only when prompted. If Windows blocks the driver, confirm it is the ViewSonic TD2230 package and temporarily disable third-party driver-signature enforcement only if instructed by ViewSonic support.

Question 2

Touch not detected?

Accepted Answer

The TD2230 needs both video (HDMI/DisplayPort) and USB connected to the PC. Try a different USB port directly on the PC, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Device Manager for an unknown HID/touch device.

Question 3

Version conflicts / duplicate touch input?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ViewSonic touch drivers and remove duplicate HID-compliant touch screens in Device Manager, then reboot and reinstall the current TD2230 driver. Set the TD2230 as the touch display in Windows Tablet PC Settings if touches land on the wrong monitor.
