Author: ViewSonic

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the ViewSonic PJ458D setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and try Windows compatibility mode if the package predates your OS. For basic projection, the PJ458D can often use the standard Windows display driver.

Question 2

Projector not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the PJ458D is powered on and set to the correct VGA/component source. Try a known-good cable and press Source/Search. If using the USB remote/mouse feature, reconnect the USB cable to the projector and check Device Manager for unknown USB devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ViewSonic projector/USB control drivers, remove hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest PJ458D package. Avoid mixing a generic Windows display driver with an older vendor utility.
