Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the VideoLogic Vivid XS installer as Administrator and in compatibility mode for the target Windows version. Remove any previous VideoLogic/Vivid display driver first, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the Vivid XS card in its PCI/AGP slot and confirm it appears in Device Manager as a display adapter or unknown device. Try another slot, check BIOS settings, and make sure the monitor is connected to the card.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old or generic display drivers, including hidden VideoLogic entries in Device Manager, and reboot before installing the correct Vivid XS package. Do not mix drivers from other Vivid models.
