Name: UTAX XC 9048 Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the UTAX XC 9048, remove any previous UTAX driver under Printers & scanners > Print server properties, reboot, then run the installer as administrator with antivirus temporarily paused.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the XC 9048 is on the same network/subnet and responds to ping. For USB, connect directly to the PC, not a hub. For network use, assign a static IP and add the printer manually via Add Printer > TCP/IP.

Question 3

Version or driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old UTAX/KM packages and use only the XC 9048 driver matching your Windows version and architecture. Avoid mixing universal and model-specific drivers; restart the spooler after removal.
