Name: UTAX LP 4240 KX Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Use the UTAX LP 4240 KX package for your exact Windows version and architecture. Run the installer as administrator, close other print utilities, and restart the print spooler before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the LP 4240 KX has a valid IP on the same subnet, then add a TCP/IP port manually if auto-discovery fails.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing UTAX LP 4240 KX or older KX driver via Print Management, restart the spooler, and reinstall the current driver. Avoid mixing Universal and model-specific drivers on the same queue.
