Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable until the UTAX installer prompts for it. Run the setup as administrator, remove any existing UTAX LP 3240/4240 driver entries, and confirm you downloaded the correct 32/64-bit package for your Windows version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check that the printer is powered on and ready. Connect it directly to a USB 2.0 port, not through a hub, restart the Print Spooler service, and look for an unknown device in Device Manager.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older UTAX LP 3240/4240 and related Kyocera-based driver packages, reboot, then install the latest official UTAX package. Delete stale printer queues and ports before adding the printer again.
