Name: UTAX LP 3228 Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, close any open print jobs, and restart the Print Spooler service. Remove older UTAX/KM printer entries before retrying the LP 3228 package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear port and a known-good cable; for network, confirm the LP 3228 has a valid IP and is reachable by ping. Add the printer manually using its IP if auto-discovery fails.

Question 3

Version or architecture conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous UTAX LP 3228 drivers, match 32-bit/64-bit to Windows, reboot, then install the current package. Avoid mixing PCL/PS drivers unless required.
