Name: UTAX DC 2440 Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing UTAX/Kyocera DC 2440 or universal print driver via Print Management, reboot, then run the UTAX installer as administrator. Disable antivirus blocking during setup if needed.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct port and known-good cable; for network, confirm the DC 2440 has a valid IP and add it by IP address rather than hostname. Check that the Windows port matches the installed driver.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Don’t mix the model-specific UTAX DC 2440 driver with a universal/Kyocera-based driver. Remove old driver packages and printer entries, reboot, then install the latest DC 2440 package. For scan/fax, install the full UTAX suite, not just the printer driver.
