Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing UTAX CD 6240L KX driver package first, restart Windows, then run the downloaded installer as administrator. Disable antivirus/security software temporarily if it blocks the setup, and confirm you downloaded the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the printer has a valid IP, is on the same subnet as the PC, and that the correct TCP/IP port is selected.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old UTAX drivers via Apps & Features and Print Server Properties, restart the Print Spooler service, then install the latest Windows-compatible driver. Avoid mixing older and newer UTAX packages on the same system.
