Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing UTAX/KX print queue and driver first, then run the CD 5240L / DC 6240L KX package as administrator. Reboot before retrying; avoid installing while another printer installer is open.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear port and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the copier’s IP, ping it, and ensure PC and device are on the same subnet. Recreate the TCP/IP port with the correct IP.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Print Management, delete duplicate UTAX/KX drivers and queues. Install only the package matching the CD 5240L / DC 6240L KX model, then set one queue as default to prevent mixed-version jobs.
