Name: UTAX CD 5230 DC 6230 KX Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing UTAX/Kyocera print package, reboot, then run the CD 5230 / DC 6230 KX installer as administrator. Match the driver to the exact model and Windows architecture; temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the setup.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear port and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the printer IP, same subnet, and that Windows can ping it. Restart the Print Spooler, then add the device manually via TCP/IP if auto-discovery fails.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old UTAX drivers and queued jobs before upgrading. Avoid mixing universal and model-specific drivers for the same queue. Reboot after uninstall, install the current CD 5230/DC 6230 KX driver, and set it as default.
