Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the UTAX CD 5025 installer as administrator, close pending print jobs, and restart the Print Spooler service. Remove any previous UTAX/KX driver before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct port and known-good cable. For network, confirm the CD 5025 has a valid IP, ping it, and create a TCP/IP port using that address. Power-cycle the printer.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old UTAX or Kyocera drivers, clear leftover print queues, reboot, then install the matching 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing PCL/PostScript drivers unless required.
