Name: UTAX CD 1222 DC 2222 Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or setup stops?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing UTAX CD 1222/DC 2222 printer entries in Printers & scanners, reboot, and run the correct 32/64-bit Windows driver package as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus real-time scanning if it blocks UTAX setup files.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the MFP is powered on. For USB, connect directly to the PC, not a hub. For network use, print a configuration page, note the IP address, and create a Standard TCP/IP port instead of relying on WSD discovery.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts or missing features?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old UTAX/KM drivers and delete leftover print queues, then install the matching CD 1222/DC 2222 driver. In Printer properties, confirm the correct model and port; avoid mixing PCL/PS drivers unless required.
