Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the UTAX CD 1128/DC 2128 driver package as administrator. Stop the Print Spooler service, clear the spool folder, restart the spooler, then reinstall. Use the full package—not just the INF—so scanner components install correctly.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check that the printer is powered on and connected directly via USB 2.0, not through a hub. For network use, confirm the IP address and create a Standard TCP/IP port manually. Reboot the printer and PC before retrying.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing UTAX/Kyocera printer driver under Print Management > Drivers, reboot, and install the latest matching 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing older and newer driver versions for the same queue.
