Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Use the SN9C105 driver package that matches your Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture. Run the installer as administrator, close camera apps, and remove any previous Sonix/USB PC Camera driver in Device Manager before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Test a direct USB port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown device” or camera/imaging entries; uninstall it with “Delete driver software,” reconnect the camera, and allow camera access in Windows privacy settings.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Old Sonix/webcam utilities can override the new driver. Uninstall previous SN9C105 drivers and camera apps, reboot, then install only one driver version. If the mic fails, set “USB PC Camera with Mic” as the default input device.
