Question 1

Installation fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Run the SN9C120 driver installer as administrator, match it to your Windows version/architecture, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the package is unsigned. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the USB PC Camera directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device,” try another cable/port, and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts with Windows camera drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing SN9C120/USB Video Class driver, reboot, then install only one driver package. If Windows auto-installs a generic driver, roll it back or update it manually.
