Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the Wireless USB Adapter directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, avoid hubs, check Device Manager for an unknown device, then reinstall or repair the driver and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropouts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous US Robotics utility/driver, remove hidden network adapters in Device Manager, install one matching driver package, and reboot before reconnecting the adapter.
