Name: UPMOST Technology SATA Controller Card Driver
Author: UPMOST

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the SATA controller card before running the UPMOST installer, run it as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Use the package matching your Windows version and architecture; older packages may need compatibility mode.

Question 2

Drive or card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the card in its PCI/PCIe slot, check SATA data and power cables, and confirm the controller is enabled in BIOS/UEFI. Try another slot, then rescan hardware in Device Manager and Disk Management.

Question 3

Version conflicts or BSODs?

Accepted Answer

Remove old SATA/RAID controller drivers and stale UPMOST entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install the correct driver. Avoid mixing generic AHCI drivers with the vendor package; roll back if a newer driver causes errors.
