Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the TVS RP45 64-bit installer as administrator, close POS/print-spooler apps, and remove any older TVS RP45 driver first. If Windows blocks it, verify it is the signed 64-bit package and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement only during install.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm RP45 power and self-test, reseat the USB/serial cable, try another port, and check Device Manager for unknown devices or USB printing support. In printer properties, assign the correct USB/serial/parallel port, not a stale virtual port.

Question 3

Version/port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old RP45 queues and drivers in Print Management, restart the spooler, then reinstall the current 64-bit driver. Avoid mixing generic POS drivers with the TVS driver, and set RP45 as default for receipt printing.
