Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the TVS MSP 355 driver installer as administrator and use the correct 32/64-bit package for your Windows version. Remove partial TVS printer entries in Print Management, then reinstall.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MSP 355 dot-matrix printer is powered on and connected directly via USB or parallel—not through a hub/switch. Check the port in Devices and Printers: use the generated USB00x port for USB, or LPT1 for parallel. Try another cable/port.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate printers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TVS MSP drivers and delete leftover queues before upgrading. Set the new MSP 355 queue as default and ensure all users use the same driver version.
