Author: TVS

Question 1

Install fails or Windows blocks the driver?

Accepted Answer

Run the TVS HD 245 GOLD dot-matrix setup as administrator and use the correct 32/64-bit package. If Windows warns about an unsigned/legacy driver, confirm you downloaded the signed TVS release, remove any partial install, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check power and cable; for USB use a direct rear port and avoid unpowered hubs/adapters. For parallel, verify the LPT port and cable. Print a self-test, then select the actual port (USB001 or LPT1) in Printer Properties.

Question 3

Version/queue conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TVS drivers and delete stale HD 245 GOLD queues in Print Management before installing. If Windows created a “Generic / Text Only” queue, remove it and assign the TVS HD 245 GOLD driver to the correct port.
