Name: TVS Compuprint SP40 Driver
Author: TVS

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the SP40 setup as administrator. If Windows blocks the package, use compatibility mode for the listed Windows version, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check printer power, cable, and port. Run a printer self-test; connect USB directly (not through a hub) or confirm the parallel/LPT port is enabled. Remove any offline duplicate queue.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old TVS or generic dot-matrix drivers via Print Management, restart, then install the correct 32/64-bit SP40 package. Set SP40 as default and block Windows from auto-replacing it.
