Name: TSST CDDVDW TS L633C ATA Device Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the ATA/SATA data and power cables, confirm the port is enabled in BIOS, and try another controller port. In Device Manager, uninstall any error-marked optical drive and rescan; stale UpperFilters/LowerFilters registry entries can also hide CD/DVD drives.

Question 2

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows usually supplies the correct driver for this ATA DVD writer. Don’t force an unknown TSST package; run Windows Update or let Device Manager install the built-in CD/DVD drive driver. Disconnect/reconnect after setup.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older TSST firmware/driver utilities before updating, and match any firmware exactly to TSST CDDVDW TS L633C. A mismatched firmware or duplicate filter driver can cause write/read errors; roll back or use System Restore.
