Name: TSST CDDVDW SN 208BB Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Driver install fails or errors?

Accepted Answer

The TSST SN-208BB usually uses Windows’ built-in optical driver (`cdrom.sys`), so vendor “driver” packages may actually be firmware updaters. Run setup as administrator, check the exact model/firmware, and let Windows Update install the standard DVD/CD-ROM driver first.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm SATA data and power cables are seated, try another SATA port/cable, and check whether BIOS/UEFI lists the SN-208BB. In Device Manager, remove any error-marked optical device and rescan; Code 19/39/41 often clears after deleting the device and rebooting.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old TSST or third-party optical drivers/firmware utilities before installing a newer package. Avoid generic driver-updater tools; uninstall the device, reboot, and allow Windows to reinstall the native driver.
