Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Trust Webcam 14823 setup as administrator, close apps using the camera (Teams, Zoom, OBS), temporarily disable antivirus, and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port instead of a hub. In Device Manager, check Imaging devices/Cameras for warnings; uninstall any unknown USB device, replug the webcam, and rescan for hardware.

Question 3

Version conflicts or camera works in one app only?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Trust webcam software and driver, select “Delete driver software,” restart, then install the 14823 driver. Set the webcam as the default camera and stop Windows Update from immediately replacing the driver.
