Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the Trust WB 1400T setup as administrator. If it still fails on Windows 10/11, use Windows 7 compatibility mode, then reboot before connecting the webcam.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct USB 2.0 port instead of a hub. In Device Manager, check under Imaging devices or Other devices; uninstall any yellow-marked entry, replug the webcam, and let Windows re-detect it.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Trust webcam software and any duplicate USB Video Device entries. Reboot, then install the correct WB 1400T driver or use Windows’ built-in USB Video Device driver if the legacy package is incompatible.
