Name: TSST CD DVDW TS L632D ATA Device Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

The TSST TS-L632D is an ATA optical drive; install failures often come from missing IDE/ATA controller drivers or an unsigned/older package. Install the correct chipset/ATA driver first, then update the optical drive via Device Manager.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the IDE/SATA cable, power connector, and BIOS detection. For IDE models, verify master/slave jumper settings; for SATA, confirm the controller mode. Rescan hardware in Device Manager.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Windows’ generic CD/DVD driver may conflict with an older TSST package. Uninstall the existing optical-drive entry, reboot, and let Windows re-detect it; only then apply the matching TSST driver/firmware.
