Name: Trident Blade 3D PCI AGP (ICD) Driver
Author: Trident

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The Blade 3D package is legacy; run setup as administrator in compatibility mode for its target Windows version. If it still fails, extract the package and update the driver manually in Device Manager using “Have Disk” and the INF.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI/AGP card, confirm the AGP slot and aperture are enabled in BIOS, and check Device Manager for an unknown VGA device. Verify the driver matches the card’s PCI hardware ID.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Trident/Blade 3D display driver and reboot before installing the ICD package. Do not mix OEM and generic INF versions; confirm the installed driver version in Device Manager.
