Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Close POS software, remove any existing POSjet 1500 printer queue, then run the TransAct driver installer as administrator. Use the signed driver package matching your Windows version and connection type.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the POSjet 1500 is powered on and passes its self-test. Reseat the USB/serial/parallel cable, check Device Manager, and assign the correct port (USB, COM, or LPT) in Printer Properties.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TransAct or generic “Generic / Text Only” drivers, reboot, and install the latest POSjet 1500 package once. Avoid keeping multiple queues pointed at the same port.
