Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing TRENDnet/Wi-Fi driver and wireless utility, reboot, then run the installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus during setup if it blocks the USB driver files.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the USB adapter directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown device or USB error, remove/reinsert the adapter, and reinstall the correct driver.

Question 3

Version or utility conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Wireless N/USB adapter drivers and vendor utilities first. Confirm the adapter’s hardware revision and your Windows 32/64-bit version, and don’t run the TRENDnet utility alongside Windows’ built-in Wi-Fi management.
