Name: TomTom XL IQ Routes Driver
Author: TomTom

Question 1

TomTom XL IQ Routes not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB port, use the original cable, power the device on, and open TomTom HOME only after Windows shows it. If missing, open Device Manager, uninstall the TomTom entry, then reconnect.

Question 2

Driver or TomTom HOME install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and confirm Windows Installer is running. Reboot before retrying; don’t connect the XL IQ Routes until setup asks.

Question 3

Version conflicts after a Windows or HOME update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TomTom HOME/driver entries, restart, then install the current package. In Device Manager, update the driver manually and avoid forcing a “best match” driver from Windows Update.
