Author: TomTom

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the TomTom XL 325 driver/TomTom HOME installer as administrator, use a rear USB 2.0 port, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks an unsigned/old driver, uninstall the previous TomTom USB driver in Device Manager, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the original TomTom USB cable and connect directly—no hub. On the XL 325, choose “Yes” when asked to connect to the computer. If it still isn’t seen, reset the device with a paperclip and try another USB port.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older TomTom HOME/USB driver versions before installing the current compatible release. Don’t mix MyDrive Connect with TomTom HOME on this model; reboot after uninstalling to clear stale drivers.
