Question 1

Driver install fails (Code 10/28 or unsigned driver error)?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the existing TI USB Root Hub in Device Manager, restart, then install a WHQL-signed or OEM-provided package. Avoid generic “driver updater” tools.

Question 2

Device not detected / dead USB ports?

Accepted Answer

Reconnect the hub, try another port, and check BIOS for enabled USB/xHCI settings. In Device Manager, use Scan for hardware changes and run the USB troubleshooter.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate root hubs?

Accepted Answer

Roll back or uninstall all Texas Instruments USB Root Hub entries, remove stale driver packages with `pnputil /delete-driver`, restart, and let Windows install its inbox USB driver before reinstalling the correct TI version.
