Name: Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller Driver
Author: Texas Instruments

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The PCIxx12 is a legacy controller, so modern Windows may reject older TI/OEM packages. Run the installer as administrator in Windows Vista/XP compatibility mode, and use the package matched to your laptop model rather than a generic “TI PCIxx12” download. If setup still fails, uninstall the previous driver in Device Manager and reboot first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown device or yellow mark. Confirm the flash-media controller is enabled in BIOS/UEFI, sometimes listed as “Integrated FlashMedia” or “Card Reader,” then reinstall the OEM card-reader driver. Test with a known-good SD card in the correct slot.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Texas Instruments PCIxx12/PCIxx21 driver, select “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install only one OEM version. Avoid mixing Microsoft generic and OEM drivers.
